Tri\’s Trivia and more…..

With T’s birthday coming up real soon, last evening saw me in a fasttrack attempt to teach T, the workings of the b’day, how,why,when…so on. Teaching her to respond to greetings and so on… So my over-zealous self went on to sing the Happy B’day song…. with T doing her usual slow-sway-dance to it… I come to the part of..”May God bless you dear…”…and then for a fraction of a second there is a comprehension-dawning expression on her face..and then she does a mock..”Achoo !!!”. Took me another second to realize why she did that…. ahh !!! her reaction to “God bless you… “. Found it hilarious…anyways..she should be ready with her “thank yous” on the D’day…so all get ready to wish the princess….

So I am done with reading the Tigger's Family name, Dora's Thanksgiving, the Word book, Pooh's Silly Day..and I am just yawning away…madam realizes we ran out of books..and quickly jumps out of my lap..rushes to the shelf..and brings back 2 more books. I am groaning here.. begging her to sleep.. but no mercy. So after strictest (final-est) instructions that these were the REAL last 2 books we are reading tonight..I begin with the Barney goes to Zoo..Ahh !!! this book needs a recollection phase where T recollects the animals from HER trip to the zoo..Done with that..and last is the Dora in Deep Sea..yes.. ..I breeze thru the book..except for the mandatory points of identifying Tico (T's favorite),yes..that is indeed Swiper..and yes.. Say.. Swiper, No Swiping..and yes F for Fish..OK..let's sleep now..put her in the crib ignoring her weak protests, switch on the songs.. (before she reminds me with "Pa..?"). S has gotten into the habit of sitting in her room and updating the money db, with the latest receipts/bills. So T requests.. Daddy sit ?..yes..Daddy will sit here..but u lie down and sleep with eyes closed..NOW !!! Mummy sit ? No..mummy will not be sitting here..she is real sleepy..going straight to bed.. She tries one more time.. Daddy sit ..Mummy sit.. No more talking… close your eyes and sleep RIGHT NOW !!! Water ? 8-| ..Finally ..zzzzzzzz……

I leave work and am in two minds. I need to pick up the photos, fill gas and pick her up. Well.. i am too impatient to check out the photos (of T). And I definitely HAVE to fill gas.. otherwise AAA wud have come to my aid somewhere midway. So what do I do ? Fill gas..go and pick her up.. and leave the photos for tomorrow. Ahh !! the strings of motherhood. Can't let T wait for even a few minutes..like she will know the difference.. :>). Last evening we read the Toy Story lying down side by side and she just loves getting as close to me as possible. And in the process.. shifts herself bazillion times.. until she hits me with her elbow or pokes my eye and I finally get up..and say..OK..that's it.. got to fix some dinner. And she is left wondering…what did i do ? I was just trying to get the mostest bestest position to lie down beside you… (

Combined forces of cough, running nose, restlessness, and new care centre anxiety left T with little to no sleep last night. She twisted and turned and finally decided to get up and go down.. on her own.. yes..she was sleep walking if you may call it that. It has gotten me worried already and to top it off.. she seemed cranky and crying when S dropped her this AM. Even tho she has begun to articulate her wants and likes, somethings are still beyond her.. the anxiety she feels with the new surroundings… so on. There is a perpetual guilt in me when i see her adjusting to all these…i lose track of what is right ..what is wrong.. oh well… i hate myself..
